The Korean alphabet, known as Hangul (Hangeul) in South Korea or Chosŏn'gŭl in North Korea, has been used to write the Korean language since its creation in the 15th century by King Sejong the Great. It is the official writing system of Korea, both South Korea and North Korea.

Unless you mean learning Korean (which is different from hangul, hangul is how you write Korean), in which case look at the sidebar for resources. edit: You can clearly see with the amount of different methods/sources posted here that paying for a book to learn hangul isn't necessary :P
